At the start of the protest, the 16,000-seat Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum was almost full, and many more people were watching the event on big screens outside in the overflow area.

However, three recordings of Trump’s 84-minute address that showed several empty seats at three distinct points were tweeted on Wednesday by X user @19joho.

Trump talks about the number of people who attend his rallies a lot, both in speeches and in postings on Truth Social. Vice President Kamala Harris said at the debate on September 10 that attendees were “leaving his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom.” “People don’t leave my rallies,” Trump retorted. We are seeing the largest and most amazing protests in political history.”

Among the three video, one shows a mostly full house with some vacant seats along the upper parts; based on Trump’s statement, this corresponds to the 28th minute of his address.

A YouTube video of the address indicates that the opening segment has Trump declaring, “make your product in America, and only in America,” which is at minute 74. As it moves over the upper seating portion, several vacant seats can be seen in some of the upper sections.

Six minutes into the address, the video seems to show significantly more vacant seats along the top, with some sections almost completely empty. At the beginning of this film, Trump states, “what our nation would be with no Ukraine War, no October 7th,” which is four minutes from the end of his address, or the 80th minute.

The former president made three references to the size of the audience during his address on Wednesday.
He started out by saying, “Wow, this is a big crowd, thank you very much everybody.”

The second time he brought it up was thirty-two minutes into the address, in a segment where he seemed to be endorsing his wife Melania’s latest book and discussing how he had described his audience numbers to her.

“She just published a book titled Melania. Get it now; it’s fantastic. In addition, I’ll contact you all and tell you to get rid of it if she continues to say negative things about me. Not at all, but I asked her, “Baby, did you see the crowd?” There were eighteen thousand of us. We could have put three or four times as much in there.”

“Nobody, not even close, could pull audiences the way I could. Perhaps I am the best of all time.”
In the 59th minute, he brought it up once again while telling a story about a child named Liam.

“I gave him gifts and said, ‘Liam, are you aware of the 20,000 people here and the large number outside?’ We have large TVs mounted on the rear of the building, but it’s not the same as being here. It’s amazing. Hi everyone. I hope this is fun for you. enormous, magnificent screens. We have large screens, so it’s not quite the same as being in the first or third row, but Liam La Castro, a wonderful young guy, is here.”

A number of Trump supporters shared videos of the crowded venue taken just before and during the event. Due to the widespread distribution of these images, there have been rumors in New York about a possible upset win in the presidential election.

“Some folks in Washington said, ‘What do you mean New York?’ when I told them I was heading up to New York for a campaign address. Republicans can never win New York; you just can’t,” Trump said to the assembly.

“I told myself that I could win New York,” he remarked. “We can triumph in New York. New York will be won by us.Your affection for your state will return with a vengeance.”
