Donald Trump said this while reacting to the “No Kings” protest
Washington, D.C.: In response to planned “No Kings” rallies against his administration, President Donald Trump said, “We’re not a king at all.”

He will be the subject of countrywide protests on Saturday, the day of the president’s 79th birthday and a military parade supported by Trump in Washington, D.C.
President Trump said, “I don’t feel like a king; I have to go through hell to get stuff approved,” in response to a question about the demonstrations during a Thursday White House press conference.
“A king would say, ‘I’m not going to get this.’ He wouldn’t need to summon Senate Majority Leader Thune and House Speaker Mike Johnson to tell them, ‘Fellas, you’ve got to pull this off, and we get it done after years. The answer is no—we are not a monarchy at all.
More than 400,000 people have seen a video of the conversation that the White House’s official Rapid Response 47 account posted on X, previously Twitter, on Thursday.
