Donald Trump criticized “radical left wing lunatics” in his “Happy Thanksgiving” post and said
In his “Happy Thanksgiving” post on Truth Social, President-elect Donald Trump attacked “Radical Left Lunatics” for having “worked so hard to destroy our Country.”
Using the holiday to celebrate his election triumph, mock his political rivals, and pledge to better the nation’s situation, Trump posted the tweet at 12:53 a.m. EST on Thursday.
“Happy Thanksgiving to all including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote.
“Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!”
Trump has been working on the presidential transition since winning the election on November 5. This has included calling international leaders, a meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House, and the announcement of his cabinet members.
His main campaign pledges include lowering inflation and expenses, deporting millions of undocumented and illegal immigrants, negotiating an immediate end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and ending “woke” practices in the federal government and military.
For comment, Newsweek sent an email to Trump’s transition staff.
This is not the first Thanksgiving greeting that Trump has used to attack his political rivals.
Trump attacked New York Attorney General Letitia James, who had spearheaded the fraud investigation against him, in his 2023 Christmas speech. Later, Judge Arthur Engoron would prohibit Trump from doing business in New York for three years and force him to pay $350 million in fines.
In his Thanksgiving post, Trump attacked both: “Happy Thanksgiving to ALL, including the racist and inept attorney general of New York State, Letitia ‘Peekaboo’ James, who has allowed murder and violent crime to flourish and businesses to flee; the radical left Trump-hating judge, a ‘psycho,’ Arthur Engoron, who criminally defrauded the State of New York, & ME, by purposely valuing my assets at a ‘tiny’ fraction of their true value in order to convict me of fraud before even a trial,
or seeing any proof, & using his politically biased and corrupt campaign finance violator, Chief Clerk Alison Greenfield, to sit by his side on the ‘Bench’ and order him to do so; & Crooked Joe Biden, who has WEAPONIZED his Department of Injustice against his political opponent, & allowed our nation to go to hell; & all of the other radical left lunatics, Communists, fascists, Marxists, Democrats, fascists, and racists, who are genuinely trying to destroy our nation. But don’t worry, we will win the 2024 presidential election and restore greatness to America.
