US: Political commentator Keith Olbermann talks about his relationship with Olivia Nuzzi
US: Political analyst Keith Olbermann has discussed his contact with Olivia Nuzzi, the writer from New York Magazine who was put on leave due to a suspected association with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The majority of Olbermann’s connection with Nuzzi, he said, was “really nice” and “wholesome.” He also said that their connection was the subject of an article being published for The New York Post.
“True, according to the fact check. Olbermann posted on X, the previous Twitter platform, “We didn’t do much to keep it quiet.” “I figured no one was interested. It is undoubtedly unrelated to the RFK issues. Additionally, I figured it had been discussed online someplace.”
“Almost everything was truly pleasant and, heaven forbid, morally upright. She really helped me get my first puppy, and I will always be appreciative of that.”Well, well, I’ll include some basic information on tomorrow’s show since, to put it plainly, I won’t tell the tale to anybody who brings it up. As the Nuzzi News Network, what am I? However, I must warn you—it’s quite dull.”
The New York Post has advised me it intends to write a story saying that Olivia Nuzzi and I used to date.
Fact check: true✅
We didn't do much to keep it quiet. I just assumed nobody cared. Certainly it has nothing to do with the RFK stuff. I also assumed it had been covered… pic.twitter.com/Zim6BIk4P7

The Washington journalist Nuzzi said in a statement published by New York Magazine on Thursday that “she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign.”
Although the interaction was not sexual, Nuzzi admitted to The New York Times that “some communication between myself and a former reporting subject turned personal” early this year.
A representative for Nuzzi, 31, refuted a claim made by the Daily Beast on Sunday that the alleged romance was found out because Kennedy, 70, bragged to his buddies about having private images of her on his phone, which ultimately led to her employer finding out.
But according to Jessica Reed Kraus, a mutual acquaintance, Kennedy may file a lawsuit against Nuzzi on Monday, The New York Post said, claiming that the latter “bombarded him with increasingly pornographic photos and videos” while deceiving him into unblocking her numbers.
In her “House Inhabit” blog, Kraus reported that Kennedy had hired security specialist Gavin de Becker to look into potential legal action. De Becker was described by Kraus as stating that “romance had no part in this. Porn was chasing after him.”
Kennedy and Nuzzi were approached by Newsweek via email for comments outside of regular business hours.
Ryan Lizza, a fellow political writer, and Nuzzi became engaged, but their romance ended soon after.
Kennedy is married to actress Cheryl Hines. Kennedy is the nephew of former President John F.
Kennedy and the son of the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy. He ran as an independent for president in August, but he later halted his candidacy and embraced Donald Trump.
