Laura Loomer has hit out at the “haters” who are attacking her amid her growing influence in Donald Trump’s campaign
Laura Loomer, a far-right activist, has taken to Twitter to target those who she perceives to be “haters” in response to her apparent rise in prominence inside the campaign of former President Donald Trump.
Self-described “proud Islamophobe” Loomer, who is well-known for disseminating conspiracy theories, has drawn criticism for her extreme views and vocabulary when it was revealed that she was traveling with Trump to the ABC presidential debate.
Her statement that the White House “will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center” in the event that Indian-American candidate Kamala Harris wins the presidency has drawn criticism from a wide range of sources, including former president Jimmy Carter’s running mate JD Vance and ardent Trump supporter Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Loomer expressed her gratitude to those who have “stood by me through all these vicious attacks” in recent days on her Unleashed podcast. She also said she wishes to “thank the haters in the media for reminding people of why you’re so awful.”
“You are powerless over me. In the video that Loomer uploaded on X, the previous Twitter, on Monday, she said, “That’s why you hate me.” “I’m not a hostile person. I laughed. It was enjoyed by some and disliked by others. Really, I don’t care. I’m not racist, then. I don’t believe in 9/11 conspiracies. Talk about me whatever you wish. It won’t prevent me from disclosing you.
“You are unable to break me, thus you are unable to stop me. You are unable to crush my soul. I no longer have anything to lose. “You guys took everything from me when you canceled me years ago,” Loomer said, perhaps alluding to her expulsion from Facebook, Instagram, and X. For making anti-Muslim comments against the drivers on the ridesharing services Uber and Lyft in 2017, Loomer was also prohibited from using those applications.
“You know what they say: the most dangerous person in the world is somebody who has nothing to lose anymore,” Loomer said.
Despite having previously claimed that the 2001 assaults on the World Trade Center were an “inside job,” Loomer was also seen supporting Trump at 9/11 commemoration ceremonies in New York and Pennsylvania on September 11. Loomer said on social media on September 13 that there were “a lot of unanswered questions” about the terrorist events on September 11, 2001.
“A lot of things remain unresolved even after 23 years. Even now, the 9/11 records remain confidential. The whole truth ought to be known by the people of America. not just the lies our administration has chosen to tell us. There are a lot of unsolved questions. Why?” she wrote.
Concerned about Loomer’s apparent influence on his campaign, including rumors that she was the one to advise the former president to reiterate the untrue assertion that immigrants are consuming pets in Springfield, Ohio, during the ABC presidential debate, Trump has both distanced himself and defended Loomer in recent days.
“I disagree with the statements she made but, like the many millions of people who support me, she is tired of watching the Radical Left Marxists and Fascists violently attack and smear me, even to the point of doing anything to stop their political opponent, ME!” Trump shared something on Truth Social.
In addition, Trump has refuted any involvement Loomer may have had in his 2024 campaign, praising her still as a “free spirit” with “strong opinions.”
Her latest comments on Harris were described by Greene as “appalling and extremely racist.”
Republican vice presidential candidate Vance, whose wife is of Indian descent, said he disagreed with Loomer’s statements and that they were a diversion for the campaign during an appearance on NBC News’ Meet the Press on Sunday.
He said, “I don’t like those comments.” It’s not what Laura said about Kamala Harris that ought to be our main concern. The problems and the policies should be our main priorities.”
Reporters were recently informed by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that Loomer’s remarks were “repugnant” and that Trump ought not to be associated with someone who propagates “racist poison.”
“Comments like this are disgusting. Saying things like this is not American. On September 13, Jean-Pierre said, “This is precisely the kind of hateful and divisive rhetoric—rhetoric that we should denounce and…should not be part of the fabric of this country.” “No leader should ever associate with someone who spreads this kind of ugliness, this kind of racist poison.”
“Laura Loomer is a crazy conspiracy theorist who regularly utters disgusting garbage intended to divide Republicans,” tweeted Republican senator from North Carolina, Thom Tillis, the same day.
“There is nothing a DNC [Democratic National Committee] plant could do more to undermine President Trump’s prospects of winning reelection than what she is doing. Sufficient.”
