Kamala Harris’ chances of winning the November presidential election rise with 20 leading bookmakers after Donald Trump debate
US presidential election: Twenty major bookies now believe that Kamala Harris has a better chance of winning the November presidential election than she did during Tuesday night’s debate with Donald Trump. According to Bet365, Sky Bet, and Paddy Power, Harris had 1/1 (50%) chances of winning in November before the debate on Tuesday.
Her chances had risen to 4/5 (55.6 percent) with Bet 365, 10/11 (52.4 percent) with Sky Bet, and 5/6 (54.5 percent) with Paddy Power as of 3 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, in the instant aftermath of the debate, BetOnline, which had Trump as the favorite to win in November, switched to Harris. BetOnline gave Harris a slim advantage at -120 at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, with Trump behind at +110. In comparison, Trump had a lead of -120 versus Harris’s +100 at nine in the morning on Tuesday.
Harris made fun of Trump during the Tuesday debate in reference to rumors that attendees were departing his events before they were over. She declared: “I’m going to do something completely different. I’m going to extend an invitation to you to come to one of Donald Trump’s rallies. I think it would be fascinating to observe.
“You’ll notice that he discusses imaginary figures like Hannibal Lector throughout his rallies. In addition to hearing him claim that windmills cause cancer, you’ll observe that attendees are departing his rallies early due to boredom and tiredness.”
“Let me respond to this, to the rallies,” said Trump. People stop coming to her rallies, she said, and people start leaving. There’s no cause to leave. For those who do go, she presents them in a different light after paying for their attendance and bussing them in. She is therefore unable to discuss it. Attendees at my rallies never leave. We are seeing the largest and most amazing protests in political history.”
The accusation made by Trump’s team that individuals are being paid to attend Harris rallies has not been substantiated by any reliable source.
The Republican candidate said, “I’m not in favor of an abortion ban, but it doesn’t matter because this issue has now been taken over by the states,” during a contentious argument over abortion. Not that I would have to.”
Moderator Linsey Davis reprimanded Trump when he misquoted “the previous governor of West Virginia” and said that the state would determine “what to do with the baby” after it was born. Davis stated, “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it is born.”
On Tuesday, Taylor Swift, a megastar singer, also backed Harris. She said on Instagram: “In the 2024 presidential election, I will be voting for Tim Walz and Kamala Harris. I am voting for @kamalaharris because I think she is a fighter for the rights and issues that need to be supported. I think she is a calm, capable leader, and if she leads us instead of leading chaos, I think we can do so much more in this nation.”
