Republicans expressed anger over America’s role in the Israel-Iran conflict

Washington, D.C.: Former Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz said Thursday that Israel should likewise give up its nuclear weapons and that US President Donald Trump would get the Nobel Peace Prize if he succeeded.

On his prime-time program on One America News Network, which he now anchors, Gaetz said that if Trump succeeded, “they wouldn’t just give him the Nobel Peace Prize—they’d rename it the Trump Peace Prize.”

The US’s role in the Israel-Iran conflict is harshly criticized by Republicans. He maintained that what is being marketed as a war to halt Iran’s nuclear program is really just another attempt by Israel to overthrow the current Middle Eastern government, and it has a striking resemblance to the events leading up to the war in Iraq.

“Israel failed to break its pattern of changing regimes in Syria, Libya, or Iraq. Gaetz said, “It looks like they need another fix.” “This isn’t about Iran’s nuclear program, which is what I wish it was.”

Gaetz said that Iran lacked re-entry capabilities, long-range delivery systems, and nuclear weapons, in contrast to North Korea. “Today, North Korea may fire a nuclear bomb at the United States. He said, “Iran is unable to even get their bird in the air.”

Gaetz claimed to have personally seen the intelligence briefings during his eight years on the House Armed Services Committee.
He brought up the fact that the US wasn’t destroying North Korea’s missile installations, despite the fact that the country has publicly threatened US cities like Seattle and Los Angeles.

Gaetz said that the present war effort was hypocritical and driven by politics, particularly because UN inspectors were unable to access Israel’s own nuclear program.
“Israel has a covert nuclear program in the Middle East,” Gaetz said. “Everyone in Washington is aware that they operate in complete secrecy and won’t let inspectors in.”

“It is unfair to push the world towards war over one country’s suspected weapons while ignoring another’s,” he added, adding that he did not blame Israel for desiring a nuclear deterrent. “It is hypocritical to drag us into a war for regime change over secret nuclear weapons when your ally possesses them as well.”

Gaetz aired old Fox News snippets that supported the invasion of Iraq, in which anchors referred to Saddam Hussein as an immediate danger and promised a swift and decisive triumph.
He said, “I saw how wrong they were.” ” I attended the burials. I noticed the graves. The cost was borne by us. In addition to costing America $3 trillion, the Iraq War fueled the growth of ISIS and China’s influence across the world.

Additionally, he played a recent tape from Tucker Carlson’s program in which Senator Ted Cruz defended military action despite being unable to inform the Iranian populace. Gaetz cited it as evidence of Washington’s leaders’ disengagement from the conflicts they backed.
Supporting war from a Fox News studio or a Senate office is simple. There are no rockets being fired at you,” Gaetz said. However, soldiers—real people—will have to battle and lose their lives. And a lot of them will.

Trump’s MAGA circle has been divided as a result of the Israel-Iran conflict. Steve Bannon, Carlson, Gaetz, and Marjorie Taylor Greene have all cautioned against US participation. On the other hand, Senators Lindsey Graham and Cruz, as well as Fox News commentators Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, are in favor of Israel’s conduct.

Trump has not clarified the situation. Although he has called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” he said, “Perhaps we won’t have to fight.” I don’t want to fight. However, you must take the necessary action if combat is the only option and they have a nuclear bomb.
