US: Aman, arrested with a loaded gun outside Donald Trump rally, denies he was shot
US: The guy who was apprehended outside a Donald Trump event in California with a loaded pistol has refuted any intention of carrying out the former president’s murder.
Vem Miller, 49, of Las Vegas was detained on Saturday at a Coachella Valley checkpoint for allegedly having a loaded pistol, a high-capacity magazine, and a shotgun in his unauthorized possession. Miller also had various passports and driver’s licenses with different names, according to the officials, and he was driving an unregistered car with a fabricated license plate.
The Southern California News Group was informed on Sunday by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco that authorities had “probably stopped another assassination attempt.” In recent months, there have been two apparent attempts at Trump’s assassination.
At a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, a shooter opened fire, leaving the former president with minor injuries. In September, there seemed to have been an attempt on Trump’s life at his West Palm Beach, Florida, golf club; however, the Republican received no gunfire.
Miller, who was subsequently freed, claimed to be “100 percent a Trump supporter” and that he had no plans to attempt to shoot the former president at the Coachella Valley event in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“I always travel around with my firearms in the back of my truck,” Miller said. “In my whole life, I have never even fired a pistol. I have no knowledge about firearms. I am not at much a newbie.”
According to two unidentified people close to the Trump campaign, the Coachella Valley event was not likely an attempt on the former president’s life.
Miller was reportedly brought into jail without incident on suspicion of having a loaded gun and a high-capacity magazine, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The agency released a statement saying, “This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event.”
U.S. Attorney’s Office, Secret Service, and FBI issued a statement together stating that the event “did not impact protective operations and former President Trump was not in any danger.”
“While no federal arrest has been made at this time, the investigation is ongoing,” the statement said.
“We express our gratitude to law enforcement for protecting President Trump’s safety and for guarding the event venue. Newsweek was informed by Steven Cheung, the head of Trump’s campaign communications, “We are aware of news reports regarding the arrest and are currently monitoring the situation and gathering more information.”
Miller was freed on $5,000 bond on Saturday and is expected to appear in the Indio Larson Justice Center on January 2, 2025, as to the prisoner database of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
For further information, Newsweek has reached out to the FBI, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, and Miller’s office.
Miller said to Fox News that he received death threats because of his media job, so he bought guns for protection.
In 2007, Miller established the America Happens Network. The network uses the slogan “rage against mainstream media” to create a number of podcasts and web programs.
According to authorities, Miller attempted to enter the protest using fictitious press credentials. Miller denied having any phony passports, driver’s licenses, or passes. He claimed to be Armenian, and his entire Armenian name appears on some legal records.
Additionally, he said that while he was a Democrat in the past and had backed Barack Obama, he is “certainly more Republican now” and had thrown his support behind Trump by 2018.
“I really like this guy because, as a Hollywood worker, I was a closet person in terms of my values. I came to the realization that Hollywood is a homogeneous environment as my views began to shift,” Miller said to Fox News Digital.
Miller refuted Bianco’s claims that he is associated with the anti-government, sovereign citizen movement, whose members think they are exempt from paying taxes and according to the law.
Additionally, he refuted the sheriff’s claims that he belongs to any far-right organization.
“Government is an inanimate object, it’s the individuals within government that matter, so no, I’m not a part of any of that,” Miller said. “They claim that I belong to these right-wing, anti-government organizations? Why are these groups not being given names? therefore it is nonexistent.”
Vem Miller: Who Is He?
According to local accounts, Miller is a registered Republican who attended and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles.
In the 2022 election, he entered the race for Nevada State Assembly but was unsuccessful in the primary.
I have gained a lot of knowledge about politics and how it is frequently managed against the interests of We the People from this experience. I’ve seen as our liberties are violated and the authority of large government expands.

“This experience has taught me a lot about politics and how it’s frequently conducted against the interests of the people, or We The People. He stated, “I have seen our liberties being violated as big government’s authority increases.
He started the America Happens Network and is the presenter of the Blood Money program. On its homepage, the podcast claims to concentrate on “topics of corruption, controversy, and conspiracy—topics the Mainstream media will not touch.”
Despite an ongoing investigation, Miller has not been charged with any federal offenses related to the purported attempt on Trump’s life.
Miller reportedly had false press cards, which Bianco said the Southern California News Group was enough to “cause the deputies alarm.”
“We probably stopped another assassination attempt,” he said.
Bianco refuted claims made at a news conference that Miller intended to murder Trump, calling them “dramatic.”
Bianco continued: “If you are asking me right now, I probably did have deputies that prevented the third assassination attempt.”‘Holy crap, why’d he show up with all that material for and loaded guns?’
is something we can’t say without risk of being called exaggerated. If we are so politically lost that we have lost sight of common sense, reality, and reason? We have a really significant issue in this nation. Considering that this is rational and common sense. He said, “I definitely didn’t want to be saying, ‘I wish we had done anything to avoid that shooting,’ after the fact. “There is absolutely no way any of us are going to truly know what was in his head.”
Miller’s partner at America Happens Network, Mindy Robinson, refuted rumors that Miller would want to kill Trump
.”There isn’t a universe [where] his intention was to kill Trump, he’s worked too hard in this movement to expose the Deep State and all the people against him,” Robinson said on Sunday on the social media platform X, which was previously Twitter.
“It doesn’t even make sense why his passes would be fake either when we’re both usually invited as media to these things.”
