Donald Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance brokers deal to end war in Ukraine
In the event of the election of Donald Trump as President, the choice of his running mate, J. D. Vance, elaborates about possible avenues through which they would seek to end the Ukraine-Russia war. If indeed peace is made with Trump, then demilitarization areas with some of Vance may focus up to a “heavily fortified” zone at their frontiers. “I cannot see it that way; this is how I see it; Trump is sitting with all the European, Russian, and Ukrainian presidents; this is what you people have to do.
What can a peaceful resolution look like?” Last Wednesday in The Shawn Ryan Show podcast, he said that “and what it probably looks like is actually the present borderline demarcation of Russia with Ukraine and that gets to be like a demilitarization zone.” Since it seized the Crimean territory in 2014, the government of Russian president Vladimir Putin has taken hold of nearly 20 percent of Ukraine’s authority. The Situation Since the Russian president declared a full-scale war against the Ukrainians in February 2022, the issue of holding peace negotiations has been raised a number of times but without any notable success.
Trump, who assumed office from 2017 to 21, has been insistent on the fact that he would have settled the war in Ukraine in “24 hours” if he were the president in the 2020 elections. He has also repeated over and over that if he is able to come back to power, the Ukraine conflict will be addressed with Putin and will be sorted out in no time.
What is Acknowledged
Some of Ukraine’s officials claim that the potential disarmament regime would make it impossible to further occupy or advance in Ukraine by the Russian army, which is the purpose of creating such a zone. Although he didn’t pinpoint it, Vance said that even though that zone is demilitarized, it will be “very heavily guarded to make sure Russians don’t invade again.”
Ukrainian independence and sovereignty are upheld and Ukraine agrees to remain neutral in regards to military alliances, not joining NATO and other sympathizing states. And that is how he believes the final shape of the treaty will look like.”
On the other hand, Vance also believes it is just a matter of time before former President Trump correctly identifies what it takes to “strike a deal rather fast” because “they don’t like him in Russia; they are much more concerned about him in Europe since they understand he means what he says.”
“Without arguing this war ever comes to an end, the Russians, Ukrainians, and Europeans all say any conflict when one party is making this statement is headed for self-destruct.”
However, if all are looking for the solution, then why on earth are you willing to continue fighting for even another day? And so he equally added, Though it is certain that you will not be able to finish the fighting, you can put an end to it at least.”
“One can say, borrowing the answer from the book within the authorities, ‘Joe Biden is asleep steering the plane; Kamala Harris does not know what the hell she is doing; therefore, their policy is to throw the money on this problem; pray hope the Ukrainians manage to win a military victory, which even the Ukrainians are saying we cannot win’, as quoted by Vance continued.”
According to a Reuters report in May, four unidentified Russian sources reported that during negotiations Putin was ready to cut fighting in Ukraine as of its existing boundary lines.
The journal quoted a senior Russian who knows Putin well: “Putin is prepared to end the war and stop the fighting. Nobody knows how long it may take but all that may be due for fulfillment is waiting for them.” Newsweek could not verify that claim independently.
A few of the redlines that Russia has announced from the Kremlim have been explained earlier.
Ukrainian officials have been claiming that they were forced to agree to the annexation of the occupied territories (namely Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia) because people came out and voted in the referendums that were organized by President Putin and were met with international condemnation as being illegal.
Ukraine argues that during any harmony establishment agreement, all annexations of its territory that took place in September 2022 are discredited and the status of Crimea within Ukraine must be restored.
What Will Happen After This?
The date of the polls for the US presidential election is fixed to be on November 5, 2024. Russia and Ukraine are watching the elections in the USA closely.
